Money in the Netherlands



This is the first time I've recieved one of these SPAMs that supposedly originated from the Netherlands. It's much better written than the typical Nigerian SPAMs. The originating Email and the response Email addresses weren't Dutch though so they might have covered that angle to be more complete.

All-in-all, it's a pretty good hook though. What do you think?

Let me first of all inform you, I got your email address from a mail Directory in my late husband's private library and decided to mail you for a permission to go ahead.

I am Mrs. Susan Brown from Holland. I am married to Dr. John Das Brown an London who worked with a construction company in Asia for twenty years before he died in the tsunami disasters, we were married but without Any children.Since his death I decided not to re-marry and presently I am 61 Years old.

When my la te husband was Alive he deposited the sum of 15.5 million dollars (Fifteen Million Five Hundred Thousand Dollars) with a finance firm meant for his business purposes.Presently this money is still with the finance firm and the. management just Wrote me as the beneficiary to come forward to receive the money or rather Issue a letter of authorization to somebody to receiveit on my behalf if I cannot come over.

I am presently in a hospital where I have been undergoing treatment for Cancer of the lung, I have since lost my ability To talk and my doctors have told me that I have only a few months to Live.I want a person that is trustworthy that will utilize 70% of this money to fund churches, orphanages and widows around the world but in my name Mrs. Susan Brown". and 30% will be for your assistance to make sure that this funds is secured.

As soon as I receive your reply I shall give you the contact of the Finance firm, I will also issue you a letter of au thority that will prove you as The new beneficiary of this fund.

Please assure me that you will act accordingly as I stated herein and Keep this contact confidential till such a time this funds get to your Custody, this is to ensure that nothing jeopardizes my last wish on Earth.

What are you crazy, you didn't reply to dear, sweet Mother Susan? I'm so lucky I'm next in line I guess for those millions! Even having to give 70%, we'll still be set for life!

ROFL! Seriously the sad part is there are people out there who fall for these emails.

I've had "fun" with them a couple times when they send it to an address I have set up through yahoo and don't check too often!

Personally that has to be one of the worst jobs out there, coming up with these emails and then hitting send...wow don't you feel like you're contributing to the world! :)

Just once in my life, I'd like to meet a person dumb enough to actually believe these kinds of messages. We know that such people exist, because otherwise the scammers would have stopped sending these things years ago.

My mind boggles when I imagine what such a person would look and sound like. It's almost too frightening to contemplate.

Thanks for sharing this newer twist on an old favorite. You always compel with what you share.

Nitroflex at home

I mentioned a few days ago that I'd purchased off of Craig's List an exercise machine. A Nitroflex, to be more specific, for the grand sum of $75. The boxes you see to the left were bought by the seller as discontinued merchandise over a year ago and stored in his back yard storage shed. You might be able to see some of the bugs and such that had made their homes on these boxes. I left them out on my deck for a few days before opening them to allow the insects to leave gracefully or die in the sun. The picture to the left is the pieces from the box, unboxed, and up in one of my upstairs bedrooms. For the most part it wasn't difficult to move it around though two pieces were heavy and a number of them were kinda long and bulky to be wandering about the house with. ankle update

S ince a few people object to seeing my feet --poor misdirected souls--I have the two pictures below hidden behind links. Behold them at your own risk! *evil laugh* Actually they're not scary though the first one is a little colorful. T he first picture shows my ankle and foot from the side, as labeled. You can see a lot of general edema of the entire foot. There's also a good bit of discoloration of the ankle area and to a lesser degree the top of the foot all the way down to the toes. The side view is a lot worse in this regard than the top view. T he second picture shows the two feet from the top so you can compare the somewhat normal looking right foot to the injured left foot. There's not much abnormal color on this view but you can see the "sausage like" swelling of the left foot. It's this swelling that is causing my main problem--I can't get the foot into my boots and I need the boots to support the ankle. Damn Catch-22. Side view, looking inward ...

Ostrich poop found here

I took these pictures last Fall while visiting the NC Zoo. On the left you can see what appears to be a nice polite ostrich just wandering around. This impression soon turns out to be false when her dowdy tail feathers raise up and reveal a puckered anus. Ewwww! If you look carefully, you can see that she's made a deposit on the ground. More ewwww! Feel free to click on the image to make them bigger. Details can make all the difference in these shots. In other matters, aren't those really bony legs they have? And couldn't they have a little more color?
