As you no doubt notice, I've changed the blog's appearance quite a bit this morning. I've gone over to one of those boring Blogger templates so I can play around with their gadgets a bit. I'll decide over the next few days just how much to tinker with this--or toss it out and bring back the format I had before. Feel quite free to give me your opinion on this format change, the state of the economy, price of gas, or how much cleavage should be shown in public. That last one should really be accompanied with visual aids. I can provide my Email address if you want privacy....

The lovely Tiff over at No Accent Yet got me to thinking about Blog stats today due to her post about that very subject. Yes, I wasn't making a huge cognitive jump there. So I looked up what's been going on with my blog over the past 2 years. I seem to be losing the interest of the masses! Am I getting more boring with time? As I recall from when I was a kid, adults often do that. By the time I hit 50--and that date is way, way too soon--there won't be anybody left that's willing to listen to me. Uh-oh. In case you're curious-- and to Hell with you if you're not!!! --that huge change in stats around July first of 2006 was when Blogger screwed up my blog and I had to start publishing to a slightly different address. As you can see, page loads dropped around 66% at that point. It happened again to a lesser degree this summer when I was forced to migrate to Beta Blogger and yet again Blogger screwed up and I had to publish to a new address again...

I doubt many people will see this since everyone that regularly looks at this blog has the address Utenzi2 bookmarked, but this is the post-transition Utenzi. Wheee. Yesterday Blogger finally forced the issue and made me move over to their new version. A little dose of Fascism to brighten our day. And to continue the tradition we've established--Blogger and I--they screwed me again. Now the Dashboard interface won't let me publish to Utenzi2 just like, many months ago when I moved over to Beta Blogger, they wouldn't let me publish to Utenzi. It's difficult to keep an audience when every 6 months or so Blogger forces one to change their web address. Assholes. Hopefully they'll allow me to publish again to what reluctantly became my regular address at Utenzi2--I've got a help request in to that effect--but if not, I'll have to send out requests for everyone that reads my blog to change their blogroll address for me.
