A Puppy Tenant
My new tenant from Blog Explosion this week was an easy choice. I'd promised Erin my next spot last time she applied.
That previous time I'd rented to Rocky just because I'd read his blog for a long time and was amused at his tongue-in-cheek badness but Erin was the other side of the coin. She's the angel to Rocky's devil. LOL
Erin's a 25 year old Grad Student in Fairbanks Alaska and as you can see to the side, she's cute as a button. (where in Hell did that expression ever come from? Cute buttons???) The name of her blog is Pupsickle and it derived from, in her words: the name of my blog came from the little icicles that stick to my dog's fur when he plays outside, which he loves to do. Erin's married, which I fortunately noticed before I booked tickets for the grand state of Alaska, and her husband Ian is one of the topics on which Erin blogs. (He also apparently makes a very good Asian Chicken Salad) Other topics are her studies in geology, her beloved Poodle, Bobby, and the myriad of factors that make up her life.
Now Erin isn't perfect. She prefers Shrek 2 over the original Shrek (How in frickin' Hell?!?!) but since she also loves Princess Bride and Holy Grail, I'll overlook that odd blip on the radar. Shrek 2? *shudder* (look at that science over to the left--I love graphs!) And what about that "k" in Pupsickle? Why isn't it Pupsicle?
Recent posts have involved phishing, the troubles in the Sudan, medical issues of several sorts--the worst being her Mother's recent diagnosis of Glaucoma as well as multiple bouts with skin cancer, as well as mispronouncing words and if you're willing to look around there's even a picture of Erin in a bikini--but you do have to look for it. I'm not doing any pandering here!
If you're still reading this post, check out this picture of Erin standing in a pass near where her husband grew up. Talk about scenery! (Alaska, not Erin) Or this picture she took of Worthington Glacier. Bee-you-Te-full The picture below is Erin at work doing that geology thing.

Very cute dogs :o)
Michele sent me
The daughter took one look at Pupsickle and said.... she is a geologist. I don't know if there is a "geologist look" or not. But she was apparently right. Maybe it takes one to know one. She is doing a double major, geology and english, I know unusual combination.
I would like to visit alaska some day.
Off I go...
Can you do me a favor and take our Cher survey over at Lam(b)? It is for a good cause and I know you like those (right? Sort of like the revolution, which is still underway, btw. Don't think it's off just cause I'm editing my poetry book again. No sir-ee!)
You really give such a wonderful 'send-off'; to your tenants..I think it is fantastic! I almost don't have to go see Erin..you told me so much...(LOL) Just kidding. I am going there right after I finish this comment.
Her photographs are FABULOUS!
