on the road of life
I found this cute little gem over on Oreo's site. He's a pudgy but adorable cat that maintains the discipline in Heather's house over in Virginia. It's always good to have a cat taking care of things--even if he's a little stoned at the moment.
I think this might be a good parable for Christian values. Or if you're more philosophically inclined, a good representation of Kant's catagorical imperative.
Personally I root more for dogs than cats (sorry Oreo) but in this case I guess things turn out the way they should. Reminds me a lot of those Road Runner cartoons from the Bugs Bunny show.
Tomorrow I'm going to try to design one of those nifty little banners that cover a corner of the blog. I've made the GIF but haven't written the javascript to put it in the right place. Wish me luck!

Gina, you better believe it. You can do amazing things with animation.
Mar, GIF is just a compression format first created by Compuserve way, way back. It's a loss-less format unlike the JPEGs lossy one. Any picture editing software will allow you to save files as GIF but if you have much color JPG is a better bet. Unfortunately if you want animation in a traditional format you have to go with GIF. An alternative is FLASH and it's not hard to work with as long as you're doing simple animation.
Wonder, without any hesitation I vote for the dog. Cats belong in their natural feral state! LOL With a few exceptions--I have known a few cats in my day that acted like dogs. Those I'd keep. :-)
Mona, I agree! Karma it is.
Best!

I've been feeling kind of insular lately, which is why I haven't commented. Have still been reading you, though.
Meliss, I love to visit your blog--it's so pretty. Now as to your posting frequency....!
Carmi, I'm sorry you had such a lousy week. I hope you're able to relax this weekend!
Judy, I have bad karma with cats, it's true, but my girlfriend makes up for it. Just tonight she saved a cat's life. She heard a faint mewing sound and found a cat trapped--and freed it. So if God is a cat, I hope to stay close enough of my gf to get some points off of this!
Hope you are having a great day!
It scares me a little that you can go so smoothly from a goggle eyed cartoon to Kant.
The whole thing is probably a commentary on cell phones anyway.
Talk to michele - she sent me...

The banner I'm working on is like those "ban poverty" or "impeach bush" type things you see in the corners of some blogs. I'll just do one with something silly on it that doesn't link to any charity. Begging on blogs bothers me somehow...
Good luck on your banner.
Michele sent me;)
LOVE that cartoon you have on your post today! Come back and read Part 2 when you get a chance.
Michele sent me tonight.
