photoshop
I was playing some more in photoshop tonight. I wanted a new wallpaper for my desktop and so this is what I came up with...
If you click on it to get the bigger picture you'll get more of the effect. I've got an even bigger version on my computer since I keep my resolution at 1600x1200 and I don't want it to get grainy.
The spider is from a picture I took about a month ago outside a furniture shop. The backdrop of the 3 forms are a new lamp that my girlfriend bought at Target last night. I filtered it a little to give it a more "arty" look. A few fades in the background and some colorful shapes and I was done.

Michele sent me!
Michele sent me tonight, cause I am sulking.
I wasn't going for scary, Mommy D but looking at it again I can see why you say that. If I'd have thought of it, I'd have given it a more Halloween theme. Maybe I'll do that later today. Thanks for the idea!
Lisa, I hope you're not sulking 'cause of anything I did! LOL I guess it's possible it was something at the political rally this evening.
Thanks Blond Girl but you really don't need external sources of confidence. Your loving husband of 7 years and the rest of your family as well as your own skills and abilities should do that. Some spider on a screen can't affect those things!
By the way, Michele sent me.
Michele sent me this time, Utenzi. I have been asleep, but woke up and decided to check out the email before I go back to bed. What's your excuse for being up at 2:30?
It's very rare for me to be asleep at 2:30 so no excuse to be given. During the week I usually go to be between 3am and 4. On weekends there's no telling.
Michelle, Thanks! I don't think of spiders as sinister though I'm sure their food does. I'm doing a picture now with a few flies in it. I bet that they'd agree with your assessment of spiders!
Thanks for the vision. It rocks.
If you ever want to export the full-res versions, I'd be proud to have 'em on my desktop here.
First time visit for me and already, I like what I see!
Thanks a ton for stopping by and leaving the nice comment.
I think that particular spider is the type that makes a very zig-zaggy, intricate web in garden shrubs. He's very cool but I wouldn't want him ON me.
