A-hem, sir, I would like to take a moment to ask you to please visit Home Fires some time in the very near future. Yours and Vince's comments about my redneck husband have been spun off into a post of their own. So stop trying to get photos of boobies and go read damn it! ;)

I'll come right over and see, Lois, but I don't know about avoiding boobie pics. They're awful hard to resist.

Since you dropped by my blog I dropped in on yours :) you take great pics by the way. Better than school photographers for sure :D I was scrolling down and saw your reference to the falling woman bubble thingie is that not the most bizzare thing?! My kids love it but its at the same time disturbing. ;) ttyl melzie

I hear you Lisa. Summer is over far too quickly way up north. I hope you get a few more good days.

Thanks, Diane. You and Chris have such pretty blogs that y'all were part of the reason I got off my duff and did something.

Thanks, Melzie! (and I agree about the Flash! site being a touch disturbing--esp with her in a bikini)

That looks positively wonderful! Fun and invigorating and refreshing! John and I have talked more than once about getting into kayaking. Now if only they had place for children in them..... :)

Kayaking is great for kids. If you pick the right kayak, they're steadier than canoes. You do have to pick the right one tho--some kayaks are very tippy, mainly the ones built for speed!

Tandems, that are built for more than one person are ideal for really small kids. Though the blue one above has cargo hatches that can accomodate a child for a short paddle. The yellow one is designed for fishing and a kid can easily ride in front of an adult.
