weather

The weather sure has been weird this winter. I received my last months power bill a few days ago and it was 45% lower than the same time last year.

The past two days it got up to 70 degrees--that's almost unheard of in mid February. Or even in March! And tomorrow it's not supposed to get over 35 degrees and we'll probably get a dusting of snow. Maybe even a few inches if the front moves a little more south than expected. The next county north is predicted to get 2 inches and that's only 30 miles away.

70 degrees on Friday and 35 on Saturday. You gotta wonder! I actually opened up all my windows when I got home after work and turned off my heat. My girlfriend is annoyed with me because I've not turned the heat back on yet. Right now it's 44.6 out but by morning it's supposed to be around 30. LOL I'm always the first one up so I'll turn on the heat in plenty of time so that her delicate toes don't get cold.

Maybe the cold wet weather will keep me inside so I'll do my taxes. The federal return will be really easy. The NC one is unpredictable. Those tax folk in Raleigh screw around with those forms every year trying to make them more complicated. LOL But at least they're better than they used to be.

Other than that I'll probably just be curled up on the couch reading with a bag of valentine's day candy next to me. Bought on clearance, mind you! Maybe watch a movie when my girlfriend wakes up. I'd not mind a little bit of snow so I can take some pictures of it...

Out here we're finally falling out of the 80s, and no I'm not bragging, I'm complaining.

Where's my Valentines day candy?
Good luck with the taxes. I hate doing mine, but last year the tax man was nice to me so I'll keep my fingers crossed for the same thing this year. :o)

The weather has been odd here too. Thursday was hot and windy in the 90s. Today was cold and rainy in the 40s. It is supposed to be all sleeting and stuff the rest of the weekend. Fun stuff.

I saw that little tax document. I just received something similar from the US government here in Britain. Gulp.

And you've been busy with a new look for the site. Very interesting!

Good luck with the taxes. I need to get our stuff together now, too. Thanks for the reminder.

I'd be happy to send you snowy pictures, if you wish. We've got plenty of it up in the Great White North.

I keep telling myself that spring's on the way. I am hopelessly optimistic.
