and a very nice looking first to the table it is. i'm sure it was delicious. your grape tomatoes look really nice too. hope you enjoyed lunch with your friend the other day. sorry for my long absence. i've been busy with family, etc... hope all is well.
What a funny (but good) looking tomato! :D
Funny looking? I'm sorry you had to hear that, lovely little Roma tomato.
It's lovely, and I'm sure that little speck of dirt didn't hurt it a bit!
I haven't actually eaten it yet. It was in the ground, almost, y'know? No dirt on it tho--I washed it before taking the picture. It seems quite happy on that cutting board.
I've heard that when you separate tomatoes from their vine there's always a little dirt in the seeds, so if you don't eat any of the seeds...When you buy them in the supermarket the dirt has leached out and they're all 'clean'.
I suppose this gorgeous little one is now long gone into a stomach somewhere.... oh, yes... yours! Did it taste as good as it looked?
LOL. Tomato of honor? Mine are finally ripening... the heat did some damage to their appearance, but they are excellent. Oddly, the Romas are running late... still waiting for the first to ripen. Usually they are first... one of the reasons I plant them (another being that they are good grab and eat tomatoes).
