Adventures in Cyberia

I'm really at a disadvantage here. My tenant this week is Panthergirl with her group website Adventures in Cyberia. As you can probably tell from the pictures, it's based on a computer game. Sims, of course. I've never played Sims so a lot on this blog is Greek to me.

This is the opening screen of the blog back on June 30th, 2005. The Wonderful Family were the first denizens of Cyberia but were joined by many others in the course of time.

A visual summary of the beginning of the blog can be found here.

While Panthergirl, henceforth known as PG (which is how she's known in Cyberia also), is the chief architect of Cyberia she's got a lot of collaborators as well as temporary guests. As you can see in the photo next down, I'm one of the guests--making my first appearance this week. By the way, despite the look I'm not gay. Not that there's anything wrong with that. *giggle* There's something about that vest that is just sooo wrong!

On the Cyberia blog I have a daughter but I have a bad feeling about how the plot is going to go...

<<<=== Which way to the Barry Manilow concert? I'm in the mood for show tunes! ***what did I ever do to Panthergirl??? *** Getting back to my description of PG's blog, this Cyberia place puts Peyton Place to shame! It's nonstop sex and barfing. You gotta figure this place is awash in body fluids!

The sex is referred universally as "woo hoo". I don't know why. The barfing is usually a sign that someone is pregnant though occasionally a flu will do it too. Or excessive drinking. But usually it's another baby on the way. Lots of babies in Cyberia--but even more sex. Male-female predominates but is certainly not the only type! *blush* That is one very no-holds-barred kind of place.

Anyway, go take a gander at the blog. Maybe you can join in with the fun. Right now there's 5 people that are the ringleaders in the game. But there might be room for a 6th...

There's a lot of in-jokes on this blog. Like the baby to the left is Sigmund which is the name of the blog of the fiance of a well known blogger who's on my blog list and PG knows. In Cyberia, Sigmund is the baby of PG, who is the blogger that runs the Cyberia site. Did that make any sense?

Anyway, if you're familiar with PG's blog The Dog's Breakfast, you'll see a lot of familiar names--and they're often doing things they might not normally do! At least not with each other. *whew*

Sex isn't the only thing going on. The blog was up for just one day before a character was already killed off. Poor Heidi. Of all the odd ways to go...she starved to death in a car. Do you get the feeling that playing Sims wasn't so easy at first? And poor Heidi was the one that paid the price. But she was back to life on July 2nd so it all worked out in the end. Oddly enough, the game informed PG that Heidi got demoted at work that day due to poor job performance. ** Duh! She's dead! Some computer games aren't very bright! **

The Sim characters live fast. Despite the blog only being 7 months old one of the original characters, Deni, also based on a real blogger, is getting old! She started out young and hot and is now well into middle age. Poor dear. There's been talk about killing her off and then resurrecting her as a hot young thing once again. Which I must admit, Deni certainly deserves. The hot part, not the dying. On the other hand, she just had some hot cabana sex with someone half her age this past week (on the blog, that is) so maybe life isn't over quite yet. Chatty, last week's landlord, was the recipient of that largess. I suspect my fate won't be so kind on Cyberia.

Just wanted to thank you for the comment over at my blog. I'll take it as a compliment. I've always felt my sensitivity makes me who I am, in a good way. I'd rather be overly sensitive than be harsh and uncaring. Thanks again for stopping by.

The blog is fascinating, but those Sims things creep me out LOL!

Here from Michele. I had a Sims program long before they became so interactive. Actually it was a kids version, very cute. Never was very good at balancing and it eventually overwhelmed me. So I am sticking with something more simple. Great look though. Sounds just like a soap opera. People die on them, but if you wait long enough you find out that they really "didn't die in that fireball plane explosion in the sky!"

Here via Michele. I play Sims a bit, my daughter is the big Sims player in our house. But she likes designing the houses more than running the scenarios. Where else can a 13 year old build a mansion and furnish it with stuff she can only dream about? Love the Sims. And I do read panthergirls other site often.

Hi Utenzi,
Unfortunately, I think you're right about your likeness there...I expect you to start belting out a Liza tune any minute! On a more positive note, your fashion sense? SUperb. ;) I'm here from Michele's.

Sorry, not from Michele's today :(

I wanna be a SIM!!!! I do, I do! I'm actually jealous of you being a SIM on someone else's blog...perhaps Stephanie needs to find a new hobby or take up birdwatching, eh?

Great renter though - I have visited her other blog (Dog's Breakfast) but this was my first time to her Sims blog!
Do they have a Sims game about a person being addicted to Sims? Yikes what a vicious cycle.

Dave, that was my grandma you said was a cross dresser. She would roll over in her grave. Funny enough, she was always laughing and smiling and usually good natured in real life, so I can't imagine why she looked so dour in that photo.

Thanks for the plug for AIC! There will be a new installment in your storyline in a very short while...

Thanks for backing me up on this one! I much prefered it when I was a young hot babe! But it's nice to know I can still get some action in my "advancing" cyber years! Good luck with your Simm existance!

I didn't realize that she still had that going. I loved the idea, but never dared to visit often. I had sso many problems with getting addicted to the Sims that I had to remove it from my computer.

And I think the vest makes you look very outdoorsy.

I'm having enough trouble keeping it together in the real world. I suspect a virtual one would totally gum me up :)
