Flash site & some changes to my blog

I dropped the size of the header a little. It seemed too big. I'm going to fool around with the colors here a little too, I think. I haven't coded that in yet tho. I think I'll shift more to blue from the current green.

On the subject of Flash, here's a site I really like the coding of. It's a photo album done in Flash and the way the photos are displayed and their transitions are quite well thought out.

On that same site there's an odd Flash game-like thing. It's got cursor-linked images that look like a bikini clad woman who is falling amid a bunch of bubbles. You can use your mouse to move her about and when she occasionally gets stuck between bubbles you can move her out. It sounds silly but it looks quite real. Good coding there.

It is lookin' really good. I adore the header and colors. I don't know a thing about skinning blogs but is there anyway you could change that coupon clippin' frame between your main body and side-scape? A nice blend would make a great transition.I think. But, I know nothing about how to fix it so ignore me. Please.

You're totally right, Marie. I want to get rid of that frame. I'll look into it and see if I can figure out how. Thanks for the suggestion!

I had to change my template recently because the text was too big and I hated the orange color. I just used a different Blogger® template and now I notice how many blogs have the same template. Same phenomena as buying a new car and then seeing them everywhere.

The black on blue text is painful. I started blogging as a way to learn HTML on the side, but the learning curve is pretty steep. Mostly I cut and paste stuff I think will work.

Michele sent me.

I left another post further down on another post too because I was surfing and forgot where I was.

Thanks for commenting at Lam(b). I love that picture at the top of your blog. If you ever come and kayak in the adirondacks let us know :)

Oh for the love of Pete, when will you be happy with the way you look in your blog skin? You don't always have to be so darn beautiful. It's not like you're a Disney movie. ;)
Have a great weekend! Site looks great! (I'd read it even if you looked like crap.) LOL!

Lois, you're like a breath of fresh air. But I do like to fiddle with things so I 'spect I'll be playing with the site even more.

I grew up in the Adirondacks, Lisa. I've never kayaked there, oddly enough. I have done my share of canoeing in those clear (and mostly lifeless) lakes though. Mostly in the Tupper Lake, Sarnanac Lake, and St Regis Lake areas. Speaking of the TriLakes region--I saw in this week's Newsweek a mention of Paul Smith's College.

Stick with the coding, Yellojkt, it's really not that bad once you get used to it. I did it for a living for 2 years a while back but I'm definitely out of practice now.
